HOWTO stream ABC full episodes from outside the US

 As of today, up to June 30, 2006, ABC allows you to watch full episodes online for free. Available shows are Desperate Housewives, Alias, Lost, as well as Commander in Chief.
However, ABC has restricted these full-length episodes to viewers within the United States. So, if you're outside the United States and want to watch your favorite show online, there is a very simple way to get around it.
- First, find a free proxy to use that is located in the United States. You can find a bunch of free proxies here. Try searching for proxies with type set to Transparent and country set to United States. Personally, I picked up the first one (69.19.14.10 port 3128) and it worked great.
- In Firefox, select Options... from the Tools menu.
- Hit the Connection Settings button under the General tab
- Select Manual proxy configuration. Enter 69.19.14.10 (or the proxy of your choice) in the HTTP Proxy field and 3128 (or the port of your proxy) in the Port field. Check Use this proxy for all protocols. Finally click OK and OK again to return to your browser.
- Go to ABC's Full Episode Streaming page and enjoy!
I would also suggest that you turn off the proxy as soon as you're done with your viewing as it may not be safe to use an unknown proxy.
